Business Consort Academy – Terms & Conditions & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions form part of the enrolment agreement between you (“the Student”) and Business Consort – Digital & Social Media Academy (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling in any of our courses, you agree to comply with the terms set out below, along with our Student Fairness Charter.


2. Enrolment and Course Access

  • Upon successful enrolment and payment (or arrangement of an agreed payment plan), you will receive instant access to your online learning portal and mobile app.
  • Access includes all course materials, tutor support, 1:1 calls, and resources as outlined in your course description.
  • You have 12 months from the date of enrolment to complete your studies and sit assessments.

3. Payment Terms

  • All course fees must be paid in full before sitting of any final assessments.
  • If you are on a payment plan, payments must be made on the agreed dates. Late or failed payments may result in suspension of course access until the account is brought up to date.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 No Refunds Policy
We do not offer refunds or transfers on course bookings unless Business Consort is unable to fulfil your order.

4.2 Delegate Name Changes

  • You may change the name of the enrolled delegate within 7 days of enrolment at no additional cost.

4.3 Transfers for Online Courses

  • We may allow transfers to another course if you notify us at least 72 hours before your scheduled start or access date.
  • Transfers are permitted once only. Any further cancellations or changes will not be transferable.

5. Your Commitment as a Student

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Actively engage with your course and complete your studies within the allocated time frame.
  • Maintain active CIM membership (included in your enrolment for 1 year) until your results are confirmed. You must be an active student with our study centre at the point of booking your assessment but we strongly recommend you maintain active membership until your results are received to cover you in case you do not achieve the grade you desire.
  • If you choose to allow your study membership to lapse then please be aware we will not be able to support you through retaking the assessment and you will need to either re-enrol or choose another study centre. However you can renew to extend your studies to ensure you continue CPD and access to all support and tuition for 6-months £149 + VAT or 12-months £249 + VAT.
  • We encourage you to always keep your CIM membership active and submit your CPD record to keep your expertise current.
  • Attend your scheduled 1:1 tutor calls and use the support available, including the Study Buddy Group and Student Experience Team.
  • Submit your Strategy & Planning plan for review before final submission to ensure feedback is received.
  • Conduct yourself respectfully in all student forums, groups, and communications.

6. Our Commitment to You

As outlined in our Student Fairness Charter, we will:

  • Provide expert support, resources, and guidance throughout your studies — from mindset to motivation.
  • Ensure all tutors and student support staff are available to answer questions (including anonymous questions in the Study Buddy Group).
  • Provide 8 1:1 tutor calls (before starting and before each assessment).
  • Offer additional learning tools such as podcasts, study packs, fast-track events, and assessment simulations.
  • Assist with reset and re-engagement plans if you fall behind.
